Bell’s palsy is relatively uncommon, affecting an estimated 20-30 people per 100,000 in the United States each year. It can occur at any age, but is most common in people between the ages of 15 and 60.
Working with a functional medicine practitioner can assist in identifying the underlying cause, decreasing inflammation and regaining facial movement.
